Daniel Schoerger
General Manager South Africa & NamibiaDaniel’s job as our General Manager is almost as diverse as his background. Growing up in Turkey and Germany, he moved to England before settling in South Africa. He studied Psychology at the University of Constance and completed his MBA at the University of Cape Town, worked in the film industry, as director of an NGO and Global HR manager at an international airline. Today, Daniel pulls the strings behind the scenes, aligning strategy with reality and translating it into our day-to-day business. Whenever he gets the chance, he escapes to Cape Town’s beaches and mountains or the remote Wild Coast.

Managing Director KenyaGrowing up in Nairobi, Alexander spent most weekends and holidays on safari, exploring East Africa’s national parks and coastline, his fishing rod always close by. He visited all well- and a number of lesser-known national parks in East Africa, climbed Mt Kenya and Mt Kilimanjaro and spent time on the islands of Zanzibar and Lamu. After completing his studies in Tourism & Hotel Management in his birth country Germany, Alexander returned to Africa. He has been part of the team since 2013 and manages our Kenya office. You will meet Alexander for a briefing before you embark on your safari.

Andrew Cowie
Operations Manager TanzaniaAndrew has assisted our operations team in Arusha since 2012 and became Operations Manager in 2013. Born in the UK, he went on a round-the-world-trip before settling in Germany for 17 years, where he qualified as Master Gardener. After a stopover in South Africa, he moved to Tanzania, travelling the country extensively: Andrew has visited almost every major national park or game reserve both in the north and the south. His passion for sport has led him to climb Mt Meru and you will meet Andrew for your pre-climb briefing when you climb Tanzania’s second highest mountain with us. He and his team are on call for emergencies 24/7. Andrew looks forward to welcoming you in Tanzania soon!

Office Manager TanzaniaTravelling has always been Luca’s passion. On various trips, she made her way to remote places off this planet’s beaten track. Therefore, it doesn’t come as a surprise that she couldn’t reject the offer to work as sales agent in a travel agency specialised in travels to East Africa. After five years consulting travellers in finding their perfect itinerary, she moved to her main sales destination: Tanzania. As part of our team she is responsible for our office management. Whenever she gets the chance, she explores the country’s great landscapes, meets its friendly people and just enjoys the unspoilt nature and incredible wildlife of Tanzania.

Operations Manager Trekking TanzaniaAbraham was born and raised on the foot of Mount Meru in the Arusha region. Staying true to his home ground, he majored in Mountain Climbing and Wildlife as part of his Cultural Anthropology and Tourism degree. It is no surprise that he found his calling as Operations Manager Trekking, coordinating all our Kilimanjaro climbs. You will meet Abraham for a thorough briefing and equipment check before your climb. Expect some genuine words of encouragement from him as he knows the strain going up, but also the exhilarating feeling of standing on top of the Roof of Africa.

Operations Manager NamibiaAs our Operations Manager, Sven is in charge of the seamless running of all our tours. When you return home after your trip and say: “Everything worked out perfectly”, then Sven has had a big part in it. He joined our team as tour guide, taking our guests around his home country Namibia. He knows the ins and outs of travel around Namibia. After years on the road, he has now settled to work from our Windhoek office. His great passion is photography for which Namibia is a rewarding destination. You will meet Sven for your briefing before you embark on your tour.

Assistant Operations Manager South AfricaAmy was born and raised in Cape Town and has travelled extensively throughout Southern Africa. In 2019, she joined Africa-Experience as a reservationist, specialising in Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. With her strong background in reservations, customer service, and operations, Amy transitioned to a new role in 2024. As the Assistant Operations Manager, Amy coordinates tours, manages logistics, and plays a key role in delivering exceptional services. She enjoys being part of a supportive team that creates seamless and memorable travel experiences for people from around the world. Amy looks forward to contributing to the ongoing success of the Africa-Experience Collection. She is fluent in both English and Afrikaans.

She has travelled around Tanzania, Kenya, Namibia, and South Africa, visiting many lodges and camps. When climbing Mount Kilimanjaro, Alexandra learned to respect the demanding trek up the highest mountain in Africa and is proud to have made it to Stella Point. As an animal lover and resolute advocate of animals’ rights, she cares deeply about Africa’s wildlife and promotes the values of sustainable tourism.

Product Manager Southern AfricaMarlene started working in the tourism industry in 2005 as a trainee for a small tour operator, specialising in trips to Southern and East Africa. Over the years she worked as a Sales and Product Manager, organising self-drive trips in Namibia, South Africa, Botswana and Mozambique as well as safaris in Botswana and Tanzania. On her visits to these countries she got to know the places, as well as the people, and is now one of our very experienced consultants.

Product Manager East AfricaAfter living and working in Tanzania, Arno continued to explore the region making his way to neighbouring Kenya. From the hot and arid Samburu to the lush Aberdares and the wide plains of the Masai Mara – Arno has travelled Kenya extensively. Always looking for intimate camps and boutique lodges for his guests to experience an authentic safari. At the white beaches of Diani Beach he will only ever advise you on a room with ocean view, because he himself wouldn’t want to wake up any other way.

Anastasia Weise
Kenya Travel ExpertAnastasia grew up on the North Sea coast of Germany. After exploring Asia and South America she has since changed her place of residence to the Two Oceans city of Cape Town in South Africa. Here, she uses her master’s degree in international tourism and her working experience in event management and tour guiding to design and organise tailor-made trips to East Africa for her guests. Anastasia has visited Tanzania’s and Kenya’s great national parks on guided safaris. With a thorough understanding of activities and accommodations available, she always looks for the perfect fit for her guests.

Born in Johannesburg, Dirk lived in Umhlanga near Durban in South Africa, Windhoek in Namibia, and Winterberg in Germany. His passion for Africa led him to travel through East Africa and Congo. Naturally, his path led him to become a guide for self-drive tours, travelling extensively throughout Namibia, Botswana, and Zambia, gaining proficiency as a level two off-roading instructor. His favourite places to recommend include the Skeleton Coast National Park for its allure of adventure and the Savuti in the Chobe National Park for incredible wildlife and stunning scenery. Taher rejoined our team in 2024 after working with us as a guide and photographer from 2013 to 2016. With twenty years of tourism experience and a passion for Africa, he loves crafting tailor-made itineraries for his guests. As a photographer, Lake Natron is his favourite place in Tanzania to recommend due to its unique and raw landscapes. Meanwhile, Samburu National Reserve has stunning scenery and is his favourite location in Kenya. Taher loves meeting new people from different walks of life. Although she lived in England and Scotland for a while, she felt compelled to return because, as she states, once Africa is in your blood, you cannot live anywhere else. It was important for her to raise her child in Namibia so they could live a life with a closer connection to nature. Jennifer joined us in 2024, bringing twenty years of experience in tourism with her. She loves her role of planning unique experiences for guests in these beautiful countries. Her favourite place to recommend in Namibia is Etosha National Park for the incredible wildlife, and in Botswana, the Chobe National Park for incredible water-based safaris to experience a unique insight into the natural world. Liz joined us in 2024, and enjoys designing unique experiences for her guests, especially when they report that they have had a great time. Her favourite place to recommend is the Waterberg Plateau in Namibia during March when wildflowers bloom, and the landscapes are lush and green. She also loves the Caprivi (Zambezi Region), Victoria Falls, and the parks in Namibia and Botswana. She feels fortunate to have had a father who prioritised experiences over material possessions, taking the family on trips worldwide to create lasting memories. Despite her global travels, South Africa remains her favourite destination, as she has had many unforgettable road trips through its diverse and expansive landscapes. Originally Dutch but having lived most of her life in South Africa, she appreciates the region’s natural beauty and diversity. Linda enjoys working with a team to help guests plan their dream trips and loves organising every detail while deepening her knowledge of these regions. In 2024, Linda was promoted to Assistant Reservations Manager for South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana. She supports the Operations and Reservations Managers by managing daily bookings, ensuring quality control, optimising resources, and enhancing customer satisfaction. Linda also handles block bookings, maintains supplier relationships, and oversees team training. She is fluent in English, Swahili, and Luo.

She knows the ins and outs of a vast number of properties in Tanzania, having visited them in the Serengeti, Tarangire and Arusha National Parks and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Riding his bike through downtown Mwanza like a true Dutchman would, he realised he had fallen in love with Tanzania. Since that day, Arno has travelled and worked around the country and the continent. One of his adventures took him across Tanzania by train, from Mwanza to Dar es Salaam. He finds the islands of Zanzibar and Pemba to be the perfect spots to dust-off from safari adventures. Today, he looks forward to creating exciting itineraries with and for you, hoping that you will share his love for this colourful and vibrant corner of the world.

Assistant Reservations ManagerFlora is an Arusha local and studied Tourism and Hotel Management before entering the tourism industry in 2008. At our team she makes sure you spend the night in the room with ocean view as you requested, booking not only accommodations, but also domestic flights and cultural excursions. She knows the ins and outs of a vast number of properties in Tanzania, having visited them in the Serengeti, Tarangire and Arusha National Parks and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area.
