Taher is a fourth-generation Kenyan who grew up in England. With an innate desire to return to Africa, he moved to Tanzania at sixteen and lived there for twelve years. During that time, he spent as much time in the bush as possible, travelling extensively in East Africa. Taher rejoined our team in 2024 after working with us as a guide and photographer from 2013 to 2016. With twenty years of tourism experience and a passion for Africa, he loves crafting tailor-made itineraries for his guests. As a photographer, Lake Natron is his favourite place in Tanzania to recommend due to its unique and raw landscapes. Meanwhile, Samburu National Reserve has stunning scenery and is his favourite location in Kenya. Taher loves meeting new people from different walks of life.
